Farewell For Now
Your posture affects every aspect of your life. It will affect your digestion, your breathing, your circulation, if you have a slumped posture you are more likely to experience chronic muscle tension and eventual joint degeneration. More than that, your posture will affect your mood and emotions.
There is now a small mountain of research which has consistently shown that when test subjects are put into slumped postures they are more likely to experience decreased self-esteem, more negative moods (e.g. fear, hostility, nervousness) & decreased energy. Test subjects placed in upright postures reported experiencing more positive emotions, feelings of self-empowerment & self-confidence, decreased social fear and more productivity at work.
This course will give you the tools and advice that you need to help change and maintain your posture for the better. This will affect not only how you appear, but how you perceive yourself.
Presence Through Posture
Posture affects how people perceive you. Just as someone with good posture sends non-verbal signals of energy, confidence, and health, a person with poor body posture appears lacking in confidence, unenthusiastic or weak. This course provides you with the tools to naturally enhance your posture, and thereby enhance how others perceive you.
Low back pain has been the leading cause of years lived with disability since 1990, and remains a significant global health concern.
What causes it?
Well, let's take an example that I see everyday as a chiropractor - a person walks into my clinic with extreme low back pain & a probable disc injury, when asked about how it happened, they reply "I was just tying up my shoe and I felt a pop."
Now there is no way that the simple act of tying up a shoe will cause a disc injury. The most likely cause of this injury is REPETITIVE MICRO-TRAUMA, due to the brain not having an accurate understanding of the affected area, and continuing to move it anyway. This will lead to adverse pressure on spinal structures, micro-trauma and eventually, injury!
Diminished spinal proprioception can create chronic muscle tension, decrease your ability to accurately perceive and move parts of your spine & will eventually lead to joint degeneration. This course provides the explanations, exercises & support to help reverse this process. It does this by enhancing spinal proprioception and creating new neural links between your brain and spine. The result? Decreased muscle tension, joint degeneration and decreased likelihood of future injury.

Thus began my work of creating a spinal proprioceptive rehabilitation and neurology enhancing system that could be used by anyone. This is that system. This course is the by-product of my time spent helping thousands of people, from all walks of life.
I have loved every moment of the Awakening The Spine course. The in-depth knowledge Ryan shares helps you to gain a true understanding of how to effectively and safely re-connect with your spine and move in ways you may have forgotten. The healing I have experienced through doing Ryan's weekly exercises is simply incredible. I highly recommend this course!
As a BJJ practitioner, lower back pain has plagued me for a long time. Participating in Awakening The Spine played a vital role in relieving that pain through the various movement practices. Ryan's communication and dedication to his craft is impeccable so you're never left wondering if you're doing the movements right as he's more than willing to take the time to help you get each movement right, with a no-rush approach and prompt responses to questions. I cannot recommend the Awakening The Spine course enough whether you participate in a sport, have back issues or just want to improve your posture.
This course was amazing. It gave me simple but really effective exercises that actually made a difference to my back discomfort. I also really appreciate the theory snippets that Dr. Ryan provided, as it made me appreciate why I was doing what I was doing, and helped me embed it further. The fact that these are exercises that he uses with his patents, and that he was really patient taking the time to watch the videos of me trying them and giving helpful feedback, offered great value for money.
